Parra-all-the-way replied to Eelvangelist's discussion EELS 2024 PREMIERS!
"I want what ever you are on! I thought raiders game was a low light, but playing a team who basically is a reserve grade side, and getting smashed by them is the lowest point. I have been a ba fan up until now, something has to change! So…"

Uncle Wizards Sleeve indigenous elder He/Him replied to Adrian Bowles's discussion Brad Arthur press conference
"Paulos on 950k or some shit and is a bench player because he's losing his effectiveness. One good game every 3 or 4 seems to be the status quo with our big money men. The NRL is leaving us behind because other teams are developing young fast…"

"I thought we hit rock bottom against Canberra. This would have to be rock bottom. Change will come. We need at least 1 workman forward. Speed out wide and a better coach and support staff. "

Coryn Hughes replied to LB's discussion Brad to Bennett: Why Friday's clash might be the tipping point for Arthur and the Eels.
"EA seems to be at the forefront of the juniors and pathways on here.
It definitely feels like the end of the road I mean how many tiimes can a coach call his roster soft. Our roster has been built in the coaches vision and how he wants to play. He…"

LB replied to LB's discussion Brad to Bennett: Why Friday's clash might be the tipping point for Arthur and the Eels.
"I agree HKF. Cause going into 2025, you need to sack him or extend him. It is not good to have a coach off contract going into a year, especially with so many players off-contract. They would want to know who the coach will be before signing. Issue…"

"Well said Bup. Had someone comment to me that no point blaming the coach when they forget how to tackle. I replied so it is all the players? He said they should know this. Right so if they should know it, why have a coach? Save money and let them do…"

JB. Prints of Parra replied to BEM's discussion Next Week's Team
"Russell is a great back up Fullback. He needs to know that's his position and his highest outcome for his career. 200k a year and a back up role is the reality of his ability and opportunity.
You could do worse than 200k a year for 5-8 years.
BA is…"

Brad to Bennett: Why Friday's clash might be the tipping point for Arthur and the Eels.

This article was prior to last night's game. But it is mentioned how the draw can spell badly for us. But said how our tactics are outdated and the roster is built for it but it doesn't work in modern day NRL. I love how he says next 6 weeks could make them move early, well surprise surprise this loss was so bad that could do it.https://www.theroar.com.au/2024/04/19/no-more-evolution-why-parras-clash-with-the-dolphins-in-darwin-might-be-a-tipping-point-for-brad-arthur/

Brad Arthur press conference

Another embarassing defeat.I thought Brad Arthur's comments in the after match press conference revealed a lot about what is going on at the Eels.Firstly he was clearly frustrated and there were indications that he was "Out of answers"The following comment was particularly telling. Arthur was talking about the players making "soft choices,"to which he then added "The players have to fix it. We can only talk about it so many times. The players have to fix it don't they."The comment clearly…

Most impressive and disappointing: Round 7 v Redcliffe

Darkness snuck into my home again, he said "Told you i will be back" but didn't think it would be that quick. That is all thanks to these bunch of wankers that are the equivalent of a Group 6 team. Actually no, i take that back as most Group 6 teams actually try. We had better completion rate, less errors and only 6 more missed tackles and we concede 9 tries. That alone shows the dressing room has been lost. First 25 we looked ok, seemed to be on top and just would be those frustrating wins…

BA

Is there a way of doing an online petion to get a new coach? If any of us didn't perform in there job  the way he has we would have been asked to leave a long time ago. How does this club just severe this crap up to us year after year? There are many players in our squad atm who could go to saints and do a deal for Lomax ( shit I would swap a couple to get him) , BUT would he want to come here atm ? Not much fun in our club atm!

NRL admits bunker got it wrong on roosters obstruction call

Graham Annesley has conceded a controversial obstruction call that cost Roosters star Joey Manu a fair try against the Panthers was wrong. The NRL head of football has wasted no time conceding that video referee Chris Butler failed to use the necessary level of discretion in incorrectly deeming that Panthers fullback Dylan Edwards was obstructed from defending the no-try due to a collision with Roosters decoy runner Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. The alleged obstruction from Waerea-Hargreaves on…

Nuclear Power a Balanced View

I previously wrote a blog on the subject of nuclear power.Professor Daz basically took my comments apart and justifiably so as I had nowhere near the knowledge or research capacity to lay a factual basis for the proliferation of nuclear power other than a view I privately held via an economist friend of mineI receive a lot of economic commentary and a newsletter I receive from another economist paints what I believe to be a more balanced view of the discussion. I say this because Daz pointed…

What is everyone's preferred BBQ meat choice?

So Sunday, to celebrate the start of a new season, i am hosting my mates with a BBQ, pool table, darts and man cave while watching the Vegas matches. Though i am curious for a fun discussion what is everyone else's go to for the BBQ? For me, a piece of Scotch Fillet, seasoned with salt and a BBQ seasoning which consists of mustard seeds, paprika, thyme, garlic and more that i cannot remember, cooked to medium rare to medium, simply devine. All i can say is on a pan cooked same is my death row…
