Cranky Brad is here!!! replied to LB's discussion Brad to Bennett: Why Friday's clash might be the tipping point for Arthur and the Eels.
"The season is gone, time to move some players and coaching staff. Ogden is gone for 3 months as well, so can't even drop forwards really. "

"Only indicator for next week is points against. Forget scoring points, they can't anyway. Defence will reflect  their true attitude. If we lose 14-6 or something like that, it shows that they have been stung. Anything else and it's lights out."

I hope he had a good look at himself in the mirror and ask the question - "Am I a first grade coach? "

The reality is northern teams train in the heat and the second half showed that , the club is more interested in money than the welfare of players and what the fans think, also Hands on the bench instead of Blaize

Brad Arthur press conference

Another embarassing defeat.I thought Brad Arthur's comments in the after match press conference revealed a lot about what is going on at the Eels.Firstly he was clearly frustrated and there were indications that he was "Out of answers"The following comment was particularly telling. Arthur was talking about the players making "soft choices,"to which he then added "The players have to fix it. We can only talk about it so many times. The players have to fix it don't they."The comment clearly…

Most impressive and disappointing: Round 7 v Redcliffe

Darkness snuck into my home again, he said "Told you i will be back" but didn't think it would be that quick. That is all thanks to these bunch of wankers that are the equivalent of a Group 6 team. Actually no, i take that back as most Group 6 teams actually try. We had better completion rate, less errors and only 6 more missed tackles and we concede 9 tries. That alone shows the dressing room has been lost. First 25 we looked ok, seemed to be on top and just would be those frustrating wins…

BA

Is there a way of doing an online petion to get a new coach? If any of us didn't perform in there job  the way he has we would have been asked to leave a long time ago. How does this club just severe this crap up to us year after year? There are many players in our squad atm who could go to saints and do a deal for Lomax ( shit I would swap a couple to get him) , BUT would he want to come here atm ? Not much fun in our club atm!

BA please resign

After sitting through that deplorable effort .... our clubs 2nd such effort in the first 7 weeks of the season you referred to the group as a 'part time team' , a team that 'looks for the soft option ' and doesn't compete on plays within the 80 mins let alone week to week.It is your job to mould this side . It is your job to instil strong attacking and defensive systems. We have a 6 widely regarded as the best defensive 6 in the game and a fullback who's effort to save try's put him up there…

Taking the 2

I'm sorry but watching this team over the last 5-6 years with skilled players. Big forwards and strong halves. Once we try and defend our 20 we have been the worst in the league.its been that way for years. Moses long kicking has protected us for so long. We have no speed players. We play well against against Panthers and Storm each year due to the fact they love to go through the middle and we are great there. we get smoked against any team that has pure pace. Canberra last week. Manly a…

NRL admits bunker got it wrong on roosters obstruction call

Graham Annesley has conceded a controversial obstruction call that cost Roosters star Joey Manu a fair try against the Panthers was wrong. The NRL head of football has wasted no time conceding that video referee Chris Butler failed to use the necessary level of discretion in incorrectly deeming that Panthers fullback Dylan Edwards was obstructed from defending the no-try due to a collision with Roosters decoy runner Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. The alleged obstruction from Waerea-Hargreaves on…

Nuclear Power a Balanced View

I previously wrote a blog on the subject of nuclear power.Professor Daz basically took my comments apart and justifiably so as I had nowhere near the knowledge or research capacity to lay a factual basis for the proliferation of nuclear power other than a view I privately held via an economist friend of mineI receive a lot of economic commentary and a newsletter I receive from another economist paints what I believe to be a more balanced view of the discussion. I say this because Daz pointed…

What is everyone's preferred BBQ meat choice?

So Sunday, to celebrate the start of a new season, i am hosting my mates with a BBQ, pool table, darts and man cave while watching the Vegas matches. Though i am curious for a fun discussion what is everyone else's go to for the BBQ? For me, a piece of Scotch Fillet, seasoned with salt and a BBQ seasoning which consists of mustard seeds, paprika, thyme, garlic and more that i cannot remember, cooked to medium rare to medium, simply devine. All i can say is on a pan cooked same is my death row…
