Yell is.more about Dylan Brown

Please share insights with Pacific Island Eels fans about this young man. Are we grooming him to be our preferred #7 or willing to lose him. On all accounts so far; there are big wraps on him and I'd like to see him in the NRL squad.

  • Bloody spell check! Should read "Tell us more" ........
  • I’ve seen Brown play in the lower grades yes he has very good future

If I was parramatta I would get rid of Norman and Moses for 2020

And have Salmon and brown in the halves
And with the extra cash i would be buying some decent forwards and another hooker and outside back
Get rid of M Jennings too

    2020 may look like this

    1: B French
    2: B Ferguson
    3: C Gutherson
    4: G Mosby Gela ( cowboys )
    5: M Sivo / G LeleIsiuao
    6: J Salmon
    7: D Brown
    8: G Burgess ( Souths )
    9: A Koroisau ( manly )
    10: T Burgess ( Souths )
    11: M Mau
    12: S Lane
    13: N Brown

    14: D Alvaro
    15: T Moeroa
    16: Jr Paulo
    17: P Terepo
    18: R Mahoney
    19: O Kaufusi
    • I hope u r right about the Burgess brothers playing for us but i cant see it one may be but not two

I would not have Moeroa on my bench he wont to have a good year next year or he be gone

    • Salmon looked slow last year.

    • Michael Jennings will be gone by 2020 regardless of what happens.
    • B. French needs to have a big season if he is to remain an Eel. I would be chasing a gun Fullback someone like Dylan Edwards, the Panthers seem to be blessed with fullback.

Joseph Manu or Jessie Ramien would be the 2 Centres I would be chasing hard for, we lack strike out wide. Young Ethan Parry has some big wraps on him but he is an unknown.

      S. Utoikamanu is a player to watch apparently going very well in preseason training, he is big unit with plenty of speed, only 19, 118kgs and 6ft 4.

It sounds like a few of our juniors are ready to step up.

With so much money available in 2020 I am hoping for some big signings.

  • I just hope we do put some faith in our juniors & stop buying players at the end of their career. Brown needs to be kept on the books & given a run in 2019 along with the other juniors we have coming through. The review showed we should be a development club, so let's work on developing our juniors like Penrith do & put a bit of pride back into our great club. I'm sick of seeing us as the NRL bitches that will pay overs for a player that is coming to the end.

    • Jim, I agree, with  Brown only 18 now, he is still very young contracted till end of 2020 the club should be bringing him up to get a taste of how the game is played at the higher level.  That will help his confidence, along with the knowledge the eels sees him as a future eels key player will help as well.

I am leaning towards the halves combo for beyond 2019 to possibly be 7: Brown - 6 Gutho, big thing is that Gutho who is having a very good training record so far this end of season, if he can be develop his skills for the 6 spot would give the eels a very good halves combination with both players being young, Gutho being the older of the two.

There are enough young players in the squad for next year, that have come up through the junior ranks, along with the imports who have progressed even in this past year, enough to give us a deal of confidence heading into 2019

  • I think he will b out 7 from game 1, once moses goes to broncos.

"I think we need to find a winger not a centre. I just don't see how signing Lomax helps with our long term planning of the club. If Talagi does well at 5/8 we will want him to play centre when Moses is back or at a minimum play him at 14. However by…"
