After such a long break, the great Guth is gonna be shy of match fitness and personally much rather he have a spell with Will taking his spot.
like you say reckon he should be there as backup for one of the two returning from injury.
I'd start Smith at Hooker,Pritchard can't pass and doesn't run so I'd at least put Smith on because of the fact he can at least give decent service from dummy half.
Fitness is one thing I don't worry about with Gutho but I think contact is the thing fitness wise he'll have to get used too again being out for so long.
I agree-given his versatility and spark he’d be the first player I’d pick on the bench every week. Brown was about the only other player we have who could slot into dummy half so it’s even more important.
