Why Flanagan is a must for Parramatta

Looking through the Sharks 2016 grand final winning team, they are virtually a bunch of misfits, great purchases and players who've improved under Flanagan.

Parramatta must now act and understand there'sno future for Arthur after 2019. If the club can't understand 5 years of failure, Parramatta might as well merge with Penrith and Wests.

We cannot play the waiting game on ba. Too many disastrous signings has us a non competitive team and nothing will change.

1. Ben Barba - a rocks and dimonds player who was on his last chance.

2. Sosaia Feki - minimal speed and skill, improved under flanno

3. Jack Bird -  has done nothing since he left the Sharks

4. Ricky Leutele - a player with limited potential who improved under Flanagan

5. Valentine Holmes - found and developed under flannos system

6. James Maloney - important piece in the puzzle.

7. Chad Townsend - very limited physically and skill wise.

 8. Andrew Fifita - coach realized that size matters

9. Michael Ennis - very knowledgeable purchase.

10. Matt Prior - very average player let go by the dragons turned into an origin player

11. Luke Lewis - smart purchase unwanted at penrith

12. Wade Graham - another top signing by Flanagan

13. Paul Gallen.

14. Gerard Beale  - average player

15. Chris Heighington - unwanted at Wests

16. Sam Tagataese - journeyman

17. Jayson Bukuya - plays above his weight

18. Kurt Capewell - who

21. Joseph Paulo - improved under Flanno

    • Because he bleeeeeeeds blue and gold.
      • Something to consider eggy, is that Flanno had applied more than once for the coaching position at the eels.

    • big money and a chance to really prove himself to himself and build back up a club he used to play for.

Coaches are a strange breed, i agree hes likely to stay put but theres a chance i reckon with the right cash.

We dont know whats going on behind closed doors at the sharks either, there might be other reasons he'd be happy to move on.

    • Because the Sharks have money problems and we could afford to pay him more??? Maybe he wants a challenge?? Who knows Mack but I reckon he is the best available coach on the market if we can nab him.

      • X100000

  • When you have climbed to the top of the mountain like he did winning the Sharks first ever premiership - he might just be looking at moving. His window for another one is closing with the aging forward pack.  He would see that Parra winning another and playing out of Western Sydney Stadium might be a great incentive.

    Doubt it will happen though.

  • For a start Flanno took over a broke Cronulla ready to fold.
-Used his own funds to build a gym and equipment
    - the sharks club grant cannot compare to Parramatta League's grant.
    - Sharks jnrs are boxed in between Stgeorge,Souths and Roosters meaning Flanagan had a massive disadvantage compared to Parramatta vast jnr base.

It's obvious Flanagan is the correct choice
  • Lol. I’m telling you, if Parra make the 8 next year BA will get another contract.

This year was his first failed year that was on his ass. (2014-16 he inherited a mess) and BA has took all the blame.

He deserves a chance to turn it around. The club will not be thinking about sacking BA now when next season hasn’t even started. So saying get Flanngan is ludicrous, because as I said above, we play finals in 2019 BA gets a new deal, no ifs or buts about it.

How about stop bad mouthing the man, support your team and your club, not bash the coach on social media...
