context: we don’t seem to play smart footy and really need a smart player to be calling the shots at first receiver and/or dummy half.
So out of our half/dummy half options who if any is a smart footy player
Hayne and Bevan seem to have the best instincts but This does not necessarily mean smart.
Hayne has never struck me as a smart player but seems to have matured a lot. Maybe he is our smartest footy player. He is playing 6 for Fiji, will be interesting to see his decisions.

That is what I meant by instinct
Bevan shows it too
I'd put Mitchell Moses in that class like Hayne aswell.
Loved the way how he used to skip side to side at the end of last year because he was continually counting numbers and using it to our advantage.
Any up and coming juniors that have left this train wreck behind.
Define smart because it doesn’t seem to exist out at Parra’s way...sort of show you about the intellect of the average Westie
Cameron Smith...
know when to take the two or take the tap
know when to grind and wear your opponent down and when the time is ripe for an attacking move
know how to get the refs on side
Kieren Foran. Got out as quick as he could.....
Gutherson without doubt.
What makes you think Guth is a smart player
He is a great role model but that is different
