  • I’m very worried. We need a quality Hooker , a Bopper and a backrower before I see us being any type of threat . One of them needs to be a captain .

  • Tapau would be a forward leader. He’s the fittest prop in the game with a work ethic second to none. He has a quality off load and plays big minutes even accounting for his age. When you have some talented tyros coming through this is the type of man they could learn the required habits and a learned attitude that could propel them to representative honours personally and success as a team. We should be moving heaven and earth to bring him on board.
    • We should be moving heaven and earth to get Taupau for next year we need him it be good if we can get Napua to

    • Work ethic second to none? Huh?

Maybe a work ethic second to a nun.

Lane has shown him up all year.

    • Your kidding Grunta. The only time Lanes output has been more in a game then Tapau’s is when Marty hasn’t played. Anyone in the game will tell you how fanatical Marty is with his fitness, diet and well being and it shows. He regularly makes near 40 tackles , well over a 100 metres with multiple tackle busts and offloads. Every hitup is purposeful and his defence is quality. Comparing him to lane is like comparing Pele to John Cosmina.
      • The few games I’ve watched Manly this year, Lane has played better than MT. I have heard that he is a great trainer and he is a good player, but there are many games that you barely know he’s on the field.

Id take Napa, if available over Taupau.

        • You want to see a prop dominate a game of football watch Tapau vs Storm this year. Against a quality pack he destroyed them ran for near 300metres. Watch that game and tell me you’d prefer Napa

      • Kosmina

    • A few players are leaning with their head in tackles now. Napa, Graham and Tom Burgess.
      • Yes Parrakeet but if you tackle with your shoulder where is your head! You can't detach it and put it in your pocket, it's is tackle and you are meant to tackle with your shoulder as we are not playing touch or grab. What Napa done last night was a lagitament tackle and if they keep changing the rules they will not have any viewers as how many would be following them or watching if it was touch. All these changes are what is killing the game and why there are so many turning off and the crowd numbers are falling.
