Once again, our cutting edge board has turned something positive into crap. I was just thinking back to the beginning of 2011, we beat the Warriors at home, we had young guys playing well, our old stagers were re energised and we looked like we had finally shaken off the under achieving status. Well that lasted all of one week til we were towelled up by Penrith at Parra. Jump forward 18 months. With very few, if any quality players left on the market and no real sense that we were moving forward, we sack our coach and replace him with................................................................? Now I know Kearney had a shocking record BUT what the f$ck good is it sacking him now, with no talent left to sign and not likely to attract anyone else to the club because we have no coach. Any coach worth his salt has been snapped up and the only possible candidate worth anything is Stuart. I am still not sold on him but seriously if you were Ricky, would you sign? So we will be looking at another inexperienced or uncredentialled coach to lead us through ANOTHER rebuilding period. So I ask, if we run last with SK in 2013, having time to recruit a quality coach for 2014 and therefore quality players, what difference is that to running last in 2013 with the same crap roster and a coach who is starting again. I am not saying we shouldn't have sacked Kearney, I am just questioning the timing. As usual, for us, I don't think it possible to pick a worse time.
Sack SK seemed to work, so I now implore everyone to get on the SACK THE BOARD bandwagon.

The free-falling Eels are staring down the barrel of another nail in their season’s coffin. They sit like ducks in the target arrow of the public's microscope just waiting to dissect their ANZAC performance.
Despite the Eagles superior position…
