Gus has never met Luai.
Gus has a history of saying all the things and then harping on about the 10% he got right whilst ignoring or denying the 90% he got wrong. He just says it all with such confidence and bullies those who try to go toe-to-toe with him so he rarely gets called out.
He had his time and place but honestly I give zero credibility to anything he says anymore.
