There is a rumour doing the rounds that Tyrone Peachey wants out of his Gold Coast Titans contract, and wants to stay in Sydney.
The Panthers have said they won't be able to keep him, and the Tigers are looking likely to swoop.
Anyone keen to see him at the Eels? I think he has great utility value, which is something we've been missing for a while.

$500k for a utility player is way too much, I would only be interested if he was to play a specialist position. We need another big front tower way more than we need another back.
No argument there, we do need another good quality front rower.
That is why I think $500k is too much, he is a very good player and the ideal bench player for a rep team but at club level he really needs to make a position his own. I think he is a decent centre and could make a good go of 5/8 if he was to focus solely on that role.
I note in another story on this topic that he has said that he wants to play 5/8 for the Titans. It may be an old quote from when he first signed with them.
Titans have stated they won't let him renege on his contract al a Gorden Tallis.
Yep I noted that in the story, although I'll only believe it when I see it.
I'd be surprised if either party would be willing to have Tyrone Peachey collecting a salary and not playing for the next three years. It kills his career and makes a hole in their salary cap.
I'm guessing the Titans are sending that signal in the hope Peachey will knuckle under and honour the contract - but whether that'll work remains to be seen. If he really doesn't want to go there I expect a deal will be made between them. Maybe 'the Peach' will need to go ply his trade in ESL for a while, like Jamie Lyon lol!
It'd be interesting to see how the NRL would deal with that. The Titans would only be enforcing their legal rights as per the contract Peachey would've signed. In this case, would the NRL look at dispensation?
like they didn't let cherry evans....such a shame contracts are worth nothing these day.
