Werent all of those included in our cap last year?
I'm Confused.
Think that's why we are having so much difficulties now it seems, with an absolutely 100% by the book admin. If only all the others were the same as the new us though?
I agree remove everything to do with the cap and go back to the old who has more money gets the best players. Eels would be a power house every year in that circumstance. The cap was introduced in 1990, how have we done since then?? I say scrap the cap.
We won 4 grand finals in the 80's, we haven't won another in 30 odd years over the cap period. Cap hasn't done us any favours what so ever so I'd say most eels fans would be happy to see it go and go back to the old system.
If they go broke then they go broke. The NRL are always looking for opportunities to expand the game without increasing team numbers. This could be the way to do it. Survival of the fittest.
I don't agree. I rekon this is just a set back and the eels the club will bounce back from this loss. Especially when the new stadium and amenities are all in place, the money will start rolling in. Clubs like the eels, roosters, storm, Penrith, raiders, North Qld, warriors, dogs, will all be fine if the cap disappeared. The rest will have to lift their game and survive. Otherwise they can be relocated to other areas.
