So the big problem i see for next year is the fact that we are lacking quality across the park and not in certain positions.
If it was just our halves for example we would just need to recruit a decent half and we would be set. But the issue for next year is that we have problems with our roster across the park.
- I believe we are 3quality forwards short
- we are short a quality dummy half.
- if we release norman or mosses then we are short a quality half and a depth half.
- if french and mennings form dont pick up, i believe we will be short a center or winger depending on where ferguson, hayne and gutho plays.
- we are short one game manager who can control the game when its ours for the tacking.
- we are short one leader who can persuay the referees and motivate the team.
This can be rectified by either blooding juniors this year and giving them experience or by heavy recruiting.
So far for 2019 we recruited junior paulo, shaun lane and blake ferguson and we have had reed mahoney debut this year. Thats simply not enough and unless we get on a signing spree i see us struggling again next year.

my people tell me we have three signings up our sleeve that won't be announced til the end of the rounds or after the GF.
lol
Don't be such a worry wart mate. From a Parra perspective the roster is essentially incidental. We have BA & a review to address all our issues.
The problem with parra fans is that despite where we finish the previous year we are always optimistic the following year due to one or two touted signings. Yet when that year comes we are in the same position. We need drastic changes in the way we aproach the year after,
In 9years we have won the spoon 2times and made the top8 only once, we are on the verge of 3 wooden spoons in 10years. What makes you think that will magically become a dominant team next year?
I dont look at things in a negative manner. I thought this year we would be pushing for the top 4. Im just looking at things in a realistic sense
You could put the same team in next year and they could finish higher
We dont have those match winners in our team.
As good as hayne has been the last couple of games, hes still nowhere near the form he was in before he left for the nfl, when he was touted as best player in the world. Despite his good form, he is still a shell of what he once was.
I had heeps of promise for gutherson after coming close to winning the dally m last year but i believe his injuries has tacken a toll on him. The problem i see with gutherson is that we are 21 rounds into the competition this year and im still to see any decent form from him. These players dont bludge during the season then go hard through the off season. They train all year long and throughout the whole year, some players never reach there previous form after a knee reconstruction and thats what im worried about with gutherson.
As for junior paulo, yes he would add some size but i dont feel he would be enough. Our forwards have been dominated all year one prop on his own isnt gona change that.
Don't forget when we were playing well his try scoring rate was amongst the best.
On top of that hopefully we add another foward in addition to Paulo and Lane.
The other key signings are football manager, sports psychologist and probably top of list a great proven strength and conditioning coach for League not AFL. We look unfit this year and as we used to win close games at the back end last year now we are losing them. That comes down to conditioning as poor decisions and handling errors are all major signs of fatigue.
