Why can't we attract talent?
Why do the players we lose, gain form?
Why do the player we recruit, lose form?
It's definitely not SK's fault, its yours, all that expectation! YOU create the fishbowl enviroment that players can't wait to escape. The Parramatta Eels need a wooden spoon or 2, to rid itself of the whinging know it all, wannabe, never-was critics that have ball and chained this club for years!

Their pay packets warrant the expectation as far as I'm concerned (speaking of Kearney, Hayne, Sandow, the board etc).
As the $$ and seniority of your position go up, so does your ability to attract criticism, pressure and expectation. It's par for the course. This club churns through a LOT of real money in salaries and it's reasonable for the paying public and the members to question a poor return on that money.
If this was a charity, I'd agree with you, but it ain't...so someone has to stand up and cop the flak.

So so True. Had the same discussion with a mate yesterday. We were talking about the possibility of getting Tony Williams back and we concluded that even if we did manage to get him, no doubt on some ridiculous amount of money, he's likely fall back in to his bad habits, get lazy and slow and go backwards.
Why would anyone worth their salt want to come to our club right now? Poore and Sandow have seen their careers spiral in to depths they never knew existed since coming to play in the blue and gold.
About the only recruits we've had success with over the last dozen years or so would be Riddell, Galuvao and at a stretch, Brett Hodgson. There are other no doubt but we've certainly killed more careers than we've made...
parra T - hahahaha how can u seriously think our opinions are gona affect the way the players perform on the field? i seriously wanna hear how you think its possible that us posting blogs about who we would like to come to our club ect ect is gonna make a difference on the field? or how running under a rainbow and blowing off SK and supporting, encouraging, and complimenting him is gonna turn him into super coach? be careful everyone al the parra players and coaches are coming on 1eyed eel and intently reading our posts to gain our approval and encouragment or they are coming on here and feeling the pressure of our opinions and its making them play as bad a the subject of this blog. u cant be serious mate.
If not, then I recon unwavering support for 40 odd years (and the odd year have been the last 20) is more than enough to show that I've lived up to my end of the bargain.
There is obviously something wrong in the club and it ain't the supporters, but you already knew that.
Oh puhleeze, they are paid a motza, much more than most of us will ever make a year TO PLAY SPORT, its not rocket science, brain surgey or discovering a cure for cancer. They should be able to do this at an acceptable level when they are playing for a club with the resources and facilities that we have.
If they can't cope with the pressure of the fans to be competitive ( that is really all we are asking) they should go and play park football.
