I was thinking about the players we are looking at cutting and thinking how they would go as a group with a different coach. This isn’t a sack ba post we already have enough of those but whether management of clubs going poorly should “quietly suspend” the coach for a week or 2 and give an assistant coach the reigns completely to see how the team and players perform. It would at the very least bring some change and refresh. We have seen this several times when a coach is sacked the guy stepping up n makes a huge difference at least for a couple of weeks anyway. I know some will say just sack the coach and move on but this little reset could turn a Club’s fortune. Of course it’s too late for us this year but at least we should do this before deciding players futures and it might also help us decide on ba’s future and it might be what he needs also.

Thats an interesting take xman - outside the box kinda thinking ... it does validate forward thinking however the poison the coach would see thereafter knowing his job is now certainly under the spotlight could cause cloak n dagger dealings with the cream of the crop to follow said coach.
True but it might also force some change, people sometimes don’t realise what they are doing wrong because they are so caught up in the small things, stepping away can give you a different perspective. I don’t know like you say trying to think outside on how a team can get out of these ruts like the one are in.
If you are going to do that then you might as well sack the coach, because there is no way that wouldn't be leaked and the media would be all over it like a rash.
It would also undermine the coaches authority in the dressing room, he would never recover.
I know where youre coming from, last time the team coached themselves a month or two back we won.
Absolutely not
