Parramatta Eels Supporters Website .-)

Just wondering how many are interested in catching the Supporters Club bus to the double header in Gosford on 27th Feb, to see the mighty Eels take on the Roosters. Buses will be leaving the Leagues Club at 3pm, tickets available from the B&G Shop tomorrow.

Teena, The Nrl only announce timings for games about five weeks in advance. So I'm not sure if it's a day or night game or even if it's on the Friday. Sorry I can't help you there

Strangely enough that is not the weirdest of questions I have fielded in regards to the PESC and/or our bus service!

Are these strange questions ? What exactly is the supporters club ? Who is in it and how many ? Who are you Mr President ? Are you just a Bus service for fans ? How do we join ? Why would we want to ? How is it different from the B& G Army or 1 Eyed Eel for that matter ?Oh and most importantly Are you joining the Bongo Band? I would love to attend your meeting to find these things out but it's a long way from the Gold Coast without knowing what your about PESC.

Bongo,
The PESC is a fan organised and operated supporters club of the mighty Eels. We have been operating and sanctioned by the Leagues Club for over 30 years. We are different to the B&G Army as the B&G Army is corporate fan club run by the football club, where we are a fan operated club operating in close co-operation with the B&G Army. We organise bus services to away games for all fans not just members of the club. Currently membership is low and mainly consists of members who have been a part of the club since it's inception, unfortunately due to poor visability and the more senior of aged people running it in the past, not much progress has been made to have this club where and what it should be. Thats where I come in, I was elected to the position of President at the AGM last November, And I'm looking at making drastic improvements and growing our membership base. Hence my promoting the club via different internet sites and social groups. I am looking at different initiatives to help our club grow, and will introduce them throughout this year, one such initiative is getting fans in regional and interstate to join our club. Why would you want to join? Well I thought the prospect of supporting your club would be the biggest driving factor behind wanting to join, I know it was mine when I first joined.

Mate I don't need a prospect to support our Club. I've proven I can manage to do that on my own. I do however embrace the prospect of joining with as many other fans as I possibly can. I might even get a plane to Sydney for an away game just so I can be on the Bus one Day.( If the Mountain wont come to Mahammed) I appreciate your efforts and wish you all the best. Where do I send my money and I will join. I would love a minutes of the next meeting if you have one. I'm genuinly interested in what you guys talk about etc.

Mate, apologies if my last post sounded pretentious, it wasnt meant to be. One of the intiiatives I'm putting into place is a quarterly newsletter, it will be sentout to all regional and interstate members, I'm hoping to have all sorts of info in it, not just notes from meetings, It will have a update to our new NRL player of the year trophy count to go along with the Toyota Cup player of the year trophy. With the players of the year to receive their award at our xmas dinner. I can email you a membership application and give club account details for you to deposit joining fee if you like

I didn't think you were pretentious . I was just pointing out that joining with others no matter what group it may be or whether it is sanctioned by the club or not or for how long has nothing to with supporting our club in my judgement . Each supporter does so in their own capacity ( even if only to make up TV viewer ratings ) and I welcome all support, including yours. I have sent you a friend request so that I can send you my email address and I look forward to meeting you someday soldier.
