Fast forward to 29 minutes, 30 seconds where they are discussing the Eels.

Soward and Chammas highlight M.Jennings complete lack of effort in a crucial play against St George.......but it's the comment about the Coach that made me take notice.

This does vindicate certain posters who have been talking about the lack of accountability.

I believe Soward has nailed this comment!

He also comments on our halves but nothing we haven't heard before.

  • Mutt you are right; as Soward said who do you replace him with? that is also an issue.

    • Hi Mitch, the main criticism related to lack of accountability. Soward commented that under Bellamy, MJ would not be playing FG after his lack of urgency & commitment in defence. As simple as it sounds, that essentially highlights the culture in our Club.

By tolerating failure & condoning failure, u only allow the culture of losing to permeate.

      • Hi mate

yes i listened to that Michael and i agree with it. My point was who do we bring in? Wenty have not set the field on fire. I agree MJ has had a bad month. Effort in those areas as mentioned has cost us a lot.

        • Mitch I would rather select someone who is less talented or not as well credentialed as an interim measure rather than put up with lack of effort or incompetence. Complacency &/or incompetence needs to be stamped out & the culprits concerned need to be held accountable.

By tolerating lack of effort or incompetence, a coach indicates that he is not fair dinkum.

FFS we r coming last, we r at the bottom of the barrel, it can't get any worse unless u r a Unicorn who nonchalantly accepts losing as the norm.

          • sorry mate but i think you are having a go at the wrong person; I am a supporter and not able to make decisions for the team. I see your point.

            • Mitch I was not intending to have a go at anyone in particular rather I was responding to your comment regarding "who do we bring in" & the impact of selecting a lesser player.

My comments regarding complacency etc were meant to be in sync with Soward's & Chammas comments in the posted interview.

Soward's response to Chammas essentially stated that Parra r coming last & observations of on field errors & ill discipline were the reasons y they r coming last.

              • Not a problem mate; I am running out of TV's this season due to putting my foot into them.

                • Haha amen to that Mitchy- number 4 on the way next week...

                  • I am up to the Black and White tvs now mate.

                • Mate, I guess we r all a little frustrated with how the boys r going.

"500k for May is well worth it. Penrith know what they'll get from him every week but Lomax is inconsistent, right now he's playing his best football because he's advertising himself to other clubs. When his attitude is down his game can be  poor.…"

"The Panthers just re-signed / about to re-sign May on 500k per season, and have re-signed Tago on 750k (reportedly) at centre. Our 3 centres probably don't reach 750k combined.
So while they've developed great wingers as you mentioned, they've also…"

"Look i think it is more than just being put on the Wing. I think Flanno is a reason. Wanting to play semi's is another.
I think a move away will be an awakening for Lomax. He was on with Fltech and Hindy with Lawrie in 2022 and he mimicked Griffin.…"
