solemn post

On Friday I was traveling from Wodonga to Boorowa to visit my mum. I decided to call into Jugiong a small town on the Hume Highway to get some fuel and a feed. As I approached the town I noticed the amount of cars parked on the side of the road, in the car park and right up the hill heading South East. I then realised the the funeral for Lui Polemeni was being held. He was a young Gundagai player who had died during the week after being injured in a game a couple of weeks ago. Although deeply saddened by his passing I have been moved by the support his family has received from the clubs he played for The Gundagai Tigers, Harden Hawks and Boorowa Rovers. I know as Parra fans we are hurting due to the dilemma our team is in, but we should take a moment to think about what is really important to us. Our loved ones and how tragically they can be taken away from us

    • Crookwell is bloody cold lol. A bit of trivia about Frogmore in the 90 the town hall was lost in a bush fire. A local girl wrote to Lee Kernaghan to have a concert to raise money for new hall.Lee went further and had a tour of rural areas raising money for a lot of towns. It was in 1998 and was called the pass the hat tour.

    • The NRL should look at the way the bush clubs conduct business.A group of men and women who volunteer their time to ensure Rugby League survives at a grass roots level with no assistance from the suits in Sydney.
    • You know the race track in Boorowa? The house that joins that, is my family.

"Lets compare 2024 dragons attitude to eels 2024. Dragons belted a good warriors team with effort and a great defensive pattern. Shows Flanagan in a short space can turn a team around. "
