I actaully saw him 2 weeks ago in a Eels training t shirt playing footy with Issac and a couple of the U20's and their mates.. probably won't mean anything but ya..
I think Pettybourne's an interesting one to be honest.
He's renowned as one of the game's biggest hitters, and has slowly built that rep up over time - but in 2011, he seemed rather pedestrian at times, and came under intense scrutiny from Souths fans as a result. Whether that was just a temporary lapse in form, or if there's something hitting home that is resulting in it, we won't know.
On Pettybourne himself though, when he applies himself, and really gets stuck into the work that he has to do (his 2010 form and co.) - then I think he can be one of those second-rowers that can work well for us on the fringes.
Having said that, I think the second-row is the one position that we're practically set in stone with, for a large number of years.
Eddies main weakness last year was his application in tackles. He fell off a fair few tackles last year.
I think we need to offload a couple of back rowers first. Or maybe SK may groom him as a wide runing front rower?
Hs anyone heard the status of Shacks / Poore? Are they certainties for next year?
The one thing that this off season will prove is how SK, being a former back rower himself will coach and mentor the 29 back rowers we have in our squad.

I totally agree with your comments regarding the importance and benefits regarding local juniors at discounted rates, however, this is only a factor with their 1st contract if they show promise. Once a player starts showing they have regular…"
"Nah Tago is a centre who may later transition into the backrow. I believe Turuva will leave the club which is fair enough. I think May will move back to the wing and the Mclean brothers will start making their way into FG. Panthers have Laurie and…"
