Round 5 Predictions v Panthers?

Just saw the team list and I am at a loss for words. 7 second rowers and 2 half-assed props. This is a gee up surely. They will run right through the middle of us. What are your predictions for the game?

  • Penrith 46 Parra 6

  • We will win the next 2 and be same position as last year
    • I'm with you Jack, in fact I reckon we just might ambush the Panthers and get away with a good win on Sunday.

  • We will play better this week but still lose. BA has lost the plot in regards to team selection. All started with the loss of semi and acquisition of hayne. Caused a complete reshuffle which forced BA in a selection pickle. Signing hayne meant losing one of his favoured sons in takairangi. To save taka and keep in his team he moved him to the backrow despite him being too small to play backrow. This moved moeroa to the bench and meant we lost one of our bench players. BA was never gonna drop scott or start evans in reserve grade which meant some of our more necessary bench forwards such as vave, matagi, terepo and kenny would have to drop off bench. BA disrupted the harmony of our bench rotation imo which was running perfectly and was unecessairly changed.

It also doesnt help when our hookers are so injury prone that we either are forced to keep a second hooker on the bench ( losing a forward) or having being forced to play brown as a hooker ( again losing a forward)
    • Taka, too small to play back row?

      Trex          118

      Vave,        115

      Tepi          112

      Evens       110

      Mannah    110

      Alvaro       108

      Taka         108

      Brown       107

      Matagi       107

      Edwards   106

      Terepo      106

      Gower      105

      Ma'u         102

      Niukore    101

      Scott,       100

      Stone         95

The 3 hookers weigh in as

      King           90

      Kaysa        88

      Mahoney    86

Taka comes in the 6th Heaviest out of the main 11 forwards

I pick an eels win, by one or more points.

    • Theres a very good chance they will run right through us.

Hopefully we will match them early but i can see their pack dominating us especially after the first 20.

The boys have been humiliated this week, theres nothing better than humiliation as motivation, lets hope we see a new resolve and some anger out there from the lads

    • Good points Cappy,  & I also believe that several of the players have been told this is their last chance to stay in first grade.

"Look i think it is more than just being put on the Wing. I think Flanno is a reason. Wanting to play semi's is another.
I think a move away will be an awakening for Lomax. He was on with Fltech and Hindy with Lawrie in 2022 and he mimicked Griffin.…"
