Its an ill wind that blows nobody any good. I love the democracy of the whole thing. We members have no say in the choice of Chairman or of Directors or of CEO. We are allowed to pay our fees on time! The success of the Donnelly experiment, if it has been a success, is so marginal that a return to elected officials should be on the agenda. They could do no worse.

A return to elected officials begins with Donnelly stepping down. I mean, we generally never have a say in CEO, or really in chairman. We elect officials to the board and a chairman is appointed from there.
What exactly were you hoping Donnelly did when it came time to stepping down?
He was dropped on his head as a child. Its not his fault.
Cant help yourself Chuck, been back for a day lol
This will again leave us open to not getting the board that we want or deserve
Pretty hard to turn up when you live in regional NSW. When will they introduce online voting so ALL members can have their say?
This is a key part of the reforms that elections and so forth don't get decided by the small minority of members that have can make it to a venue at a particular time.
Hear hear. I live 800km away so it is a bit difficult to enjoy my democratic rights but would love to. Postal votes please.
Since when does any shareholder or member of any organisation have a say in the choice of CEO ?
