Rd 4 Pre-Game Stats Blog v Sharks

  • Thanks Ricky, I enjoy reading your stat posts
    • Thanks, Brax.

Glad you enjoy the stats posts.

  • Peter Peters kicked a goal? I just can't picture that!

    • Yeah, he sure did, LE. Decent few during his brief time with our club actually.

  • If you know what you're doing, where to find the stats and the ins and outs of certain programs, it doesn't take as long as you might think.

Of course, it is the sort of thing you have to enjoy doing as well as it can rather tedious if you don't.

  • Biggest Head to Head wins

Cronulla defeated Parramatta 48-18 at Parramatta Stadium, 1995.
Parramatta defeated Cronulla 74-4 at Parramatta Stadium, 2003.

    • I was at the game in 2003. :)

  • LUKE KELLY  got a point against the Sharkies and you guys bag him out?

    Tough audience.

  • It's interesting that a lot of the top spots are quite recent players (00's onwards). Has the game made it easier to score tries now compared to the 70's?
    • Perhaps in some ways but players were obviously disadvantaged prior to 1983 in that tries were only worth three points.

The likes of Kenny, Grothe & co. would have had 40-50 odd points even in total with the amount of tries they scored against some teams.

And for the most part, kickers have now become more accurate as well so the overall points they've scored in a career against the one team has thus increased.
