  • I'm liking the Mitchell Moses minimal missed tackles.
9/10 performance all round, considering only a couple of training sessions.

Who said Moses would be a bad buy. ; )

    Please apologize here _________.
    • Yes true Fongi.
I was referring also to the argument I had with Ricky.

He'll definitely change his views in time.
  • A line-break is when the defensive line itself is broken.

Given Crichton's try came off the error from Semi, there's no set defensive line and so despite running the length of the field, he isn't given a line-break.
Compare that to Johnston's initial line-break that was assisted by Fuimaono; Tyrell took the line on, drew the winger in, passed it to Johnston and he broke the first line of defence and reached Bevan, the fullback.

Generally, in terms of a line-break, if you beat the first defensive line and reach the fullback, it constitutes one. Or if you simply barge over the line for a try.

Hope that offers some clarity, Rey Rey.

  • Like Fong, Chief, the defence against the elite sides is the key.

Credit to Moses for showing some resolve in defence in recent weeks - whether it's because he's worked on it or the sides we're playing since his arrival haven't targeted him, who knows - but teams like the Roosters, Broncos, Cowboys, Storm & Sharks with quality centres and back-rowers are the big litmus test.

  • why does it say we won the count
    • My bad.

Lot of data to process and transfer, so occasionally, tidbits will be slightly off. All fixed now.

  • Good determined 1st half from the lads with their usual attitude "We are in front so we will have a 20 minute rest in the 2nd" which cost us.

Scrappy 2nd half with a lot less intensity from the team.

LOL at Will Smith's stats - try was disallowed so he didn't get credit for a 30 metre run.

Alvaro was strong and possibly could have topped the tackle count had he played more minutes.

[Edit] - we got the 2 points and we deserved to win.

IMO the team looked good, determined and committed for a lot of the game but suffered their customary fade in the 2nd half.

Interestingly, when teams like Broncos go off the boil they at least maintain their defensive structure and don't allow the opposition any easy metres - this is something that we still need to fix.

    • Harsh perhaps in the case of Smithy, Col, but rules are rules.

So yeah, no metres at all for him.

  • Thanks for the stats Ricky.
We definitely lost the penalty count! You might want to fix that one up.
    • S'all good, Fui.

Yeah, all fixed. Comes with the territory of trying to get it out far too quickly, lol.
