Gee looking at the stats, L Mitchell gave us a hiding on his own
To be blunt, he well & truly had the measure of Auva'a and Smith down that right side attack for the Roosters.
Vave deserves some plaudits. 10.4m per run is no easy feat.
He was unlucky in that the periods he was on, it was all defence on our part and so he didn't have a chance to make any more runs that probably would have boosted his run metres even more.
But yes, very disappointing from our forwards overall.
Unfortunately, Brissyeel, no matter what one thinks or doesn't think of Mannah, there are no able replacements on our roster because of injuries so the team, for the most part, has to stick as it is.
I think Vave was again positive. 10.4m per run is not an easy thing against any pack and arguably, it could have ben higher had we produced more genuine attacking raids and sets.
Thanks Ricky for these; How did Evan's stats hold up?
In limited game time - he only came on in about the 55th minute or so - he had 45m from 4 runs, 10 tackles, 1 offload & 1 penalty conceded.
Timmy's minutes - or lack thereof - certainly paint an interesting picture.
Is BA being strategic in his use of Mannah and wants him playing a certain number of minutes at certain times? Or is just a case that BA doesn't think Mannah features in the team anymore on a regular basis hence the reduced minutes. It's hard to know.
Going to chalk this one up as a bad mulligan.
Expect a big bounce back against the Raiders next week.
