If Slater’s lawyer is claiming Slater had no other safe option apart from the shoulder charge
then what about all the hundreds of times this exact same situation has arisen this year and the cover defender has lead with his hands to try and push the winger over the try line.
According to the rules and standard practise for this year Slater should be suspended.
Personally I think the rule should be changed but as it is he should be gone.

If you watch the tackle he could have easily had his arm out from his side and still knocked Feki over the side - just a grub depending on his clean small man syndrome to get him through.
With EVERY commentator pressuring the judiciary, who said they would rule within 24 hours, he is a cert to play.
Exactly
Exactly , if he coathangered him he’s also saying that’d be ok .
YES
Should a grade one shoulder charge be worth 200 points?
NO
But is a grade one shoulder charge worth 200 points?
YES
So should Billy Slater be suspended?
YES
eggman: In my opinion Slater will play when he should be suspended. It will a case of pure Greenbergism. I hope that I am wrong, but my natural cynicism tells me otherwise.
Subjective eggy.
Feki was heading toward the side line and it could be argued a legal tackle would have sent him over before he could score.
If Feki tried to cut back in then it may be argued a penalty try could have been awarded.
A better finisher would have been down low and already diving for the line imo
