Prediction time

So where will we finish and why.My immediate thought was doom and gloom, then too much unicorn followed. So I've now renewed the membership, applied for the member council, and taken a breath. Here's my thoughts: 8th to 10th.At first I thought challenge for the spoon. The reasoning was taking Hayne out of last years team on any week could mean disaster. So my current thought is that an offseason to prepare, with a mindset that it isn't a case of them marking time till he returns from an injury but a completely new game plan, is likely to produce a team that is mid-table competitive. In other words, a team that gives us results similar to this year, albeit without tries scored in the Hayne inspired style. So don't expect spectacular long distance tries, but rather field position and game plan created. We can only speculate without seeing the new line up in action. It will be a measure of the coach's ability. As we continue to see players being shed, we are perhaps going to see a surprise before the season starts. For now, I'll go mid-table.

  • Im optimistic as well sixties boy, mid table sounds fair. With Hayne the double edged sword gone, and a new forward pack, I believe we have the chance to start a new era, where everyone contributes equally and a new mindset can begin. Looking forward to next year

  • hi all i get the feeling the team will go well , of course with out hayne things will be different , we have to remember hayne didnt allways produce the goods,he had a remarkable season last season . that what sits in everybodys minds. i feel parra getting so close last season they will have learnt alot from that, everything hinges on sandow and norman and the forwards. also our koal kicking has to be alot better. if watto gets the forwards working tougher that will help the team heaps, we still need a good play maker at fullback, which we will see if  hoppa can chim in and set up trys time will tell.  im thinking we will make the finals can only be positive go parra.

  • Mid pack at end of regular season , I predict either 7th or 6th, and hopefully we have enough momentum to shake up the finals and set ourselves up for a red hot go in 2016
  • 10-12th for me hopefully we string a few more wins and make the 8.
  • I predicted 8-10 last year. This year we will scrape in to 8th with our forward pack leading the way. Even without the plane our forwards will give us better field position than last year. Wicks , Moeroa, peats and our back three will win us more games this year just hope we can keap them on the field.
  • Without Hayne I can see us being brave but too often not getting the win. 10-14th. I hope I'm wrong.
    • x2, i think we will be defensively much better this season which will keep us in quite a few games but we will lack the class and creativity of the top sides.

10th to 14th for me as well, i hope i am wrong but i just don't see it.

  • I feel we have one of the best packs in the comp, and our back up forward strength is excellent.
Hayne loss is a major blow to our top 8 chances, however I like the acquisitions of Takairangi, Champion, Crooks and Robinson and the emerging Goodall.

Our halves are however the major concern and would like to see Matto given a chance at some stage.

    Parramatta 9th.

    Wooden Spooners Drsgqueens :-D
    • Lol.
I actually love the little fellow, and admire he's energy and courage considering he's diminutive stature. However I think we need a half who can guide the team around the park, especially noting a structured and more precise short kicking game.

I'm no expert, but I've seen enough of our halves to say we'll may again struggle to make the 8.

"Although I picked Parra in the tipping comp, I did so with no great confidence.
I am probably in the minority but for me, Talagi on the bench is ridiculous.
It is hot and humid in Darwin and four forwards on the bench makes a lot more sense.
