I did a previous blog on this. Now that we know for sure we've got Blake Ferguson, there are some rumours of Taupau & Segeyaro. We're offering both a decent sum of money, and with if both players sign - our team looks a whole lot better. I don't think we need to be negative about the upcoming season because our club will have to do everything in their power to ensure our footy club is successful for next season.

Kaysa Prichard and Cameron King are taking up cap money. Unfortunately for them, neither have been instrumental in the bigger picture. Kaysa has played well this year, but is very injury prone. Cameron King hasn't been the same all season, and wouldn't say it's in the clubs best interest to keep them. It's better for us to secure as established hooker and mentor Mahoney to be the future #9 of the club - a position we have really been thin on.

We're dawning a new era at our brand new stadium, and will with a line-up like this, should be aiming for a top 4 position. In regards to Blake Austin, I don't think we'll poach him.

Reasons: Why would we let go of Norman when he has just one year left on his contract? Their are NO decent halves on the market. It seems like the next time would be in 2020 when Nathan Clearly will be available. Norman's hitting the time in his career where it's make or break for him. Yes he's had his downs, but I feel way too many people on here put the blame on him. One player can't do everything, and lately he's been one of our best players.  He could easily secure the Queensland No7 if he picked up his game, and 2019 will just be that for him - make or break.

With an improved forward pack, and an established 9, and our Corey leading around the team - It's hard not to be confident on what we can do next year. It seems ridiculous to say that right now where we were favourites to be in contention of the title and have slumped so badly. But come to think of it, our roster was the least improved over the off-season. Think about it - Jarryd Hayne and Kane Evans - LOL, what were we, and the punters truly thinking? We've got the WORST forward pack in the competition, and have really lacked that dummy half ball roller.

  • Gutho has to be fullback.
    • Teropo has been our best forward last 10 weeks
    • yeah cause he's done wonders being at fullback this year

      • Yeah just like French really lit things up

  • How the Eff isnt George Jennings in the side after the season he is having?

    • This is true. I'm actually sorry for that - I really do rate him.

  • Tapau and Segyaro are rumours at best.

Also I've got to see more frOm M.Jennings to convince me he's worth it even though he has an option.

Haynes another one even though he's played decent the last few weeks.

To be honest if you ask me we need to get the house in order behind the scenes to see the performances impove on the field if we don't I think we'll always see the same old inconsistencies we are trying to get rid of.

  • Unless French morphs into a frame like Greg Inglis then he probably won’t be fullback. George Jennings has more of an impact than French on the wing too.

Gutherson is fullback and Hayne centre.

Bring back Radrada as captain, coach and hooker.

    • and Gutherson is the size of Inglis?

  • Alvaro has to be there based on this season so far

"Sanders defence in the halves is actually better than Hands. NSW Cup stats would back this statement up as well. Hands is actually a poor defender in the halves. He is barely cup quality in cup. Hands is an out and out hooker in my opnion."
