Players told to look elsewhere

The knives are about to come out at Parramatta after the club’s season from hell.

I’m told the club is set to cut a swathe through the playing ranks, with Michael Jennings, Bevan French, Brad Takairangi, Corey Norman and Mitchell Moses all told they are more than welcome to leave.

The problem is, all are under contract on good money and may dig their heels in and stay.

Up front, big Tony Williams and hooker Cameron King are off contract - and won’t be re-signed.

The Eels are hoping to free up some salary cap space and find up some new blood.

There are certain to be bargains on the market soon as clubs attempt to balance the books.

  • Seen Taka recently, looks like he has forgotten the gym and investing his time at dessert buffets

  • Takairangi should be the first to walk.
    • Strangely enough he was never meant to sign with us in the first place, I think Wests signed him and the deal fell through, that's when we bought him instead.
  • Extraordinary! What a scoop. If I didn’t know any better I’d say you’ve just combined all the tid bits of gossip, opinion and tabloid crap from the past 3 weeks to try and make out you know something?
    • Lol it's from the lurker
    • Never said it was my scoop...Horo you must be a real hoot at parties.

      • Well post the link too mate. It may even be illegal to post stuff like this without one.

I know I was warned by Phil years ago about it.

It's a pity Jarryd isn't on that list.

      • Don’t worry about him Bazza - good info.

      • horo is a f***wit

    • I think Hayne had a good year after he fixed his stomach up.

"Not a bad claim, only thing i say is Norths only made one more GF after their 1922 title. In 77 years they made 1 GF. No minor premierships either. Souths were in same boat. 1971 was last premiership before 2014. In that time of 43 years they made…"

LB replied to LB's discussion Jamal Fogarty bicep injury, do we use Sanders as leverage?
"He has gotten better this year. You are right, Stuart would like to keep him but at same time has flaws and he like Hopoate a bit and Rapana will come back at some point, Chevy Stuart has to stay at 1. Savage could be expendable. I mean Sanders is…"
