  • The most intriguing recruitment decision IMO will be the dummy half. All our regular options r up for re-signing. According to BA's post match presser, young Mahoney is only on a 1 season deal but BA indicated that he believes that he is already capable of playing 80 mins so I hope we re-sign the kid asap.

Both Kaysa & King's contracts expire end of 2018. So what will BA decide? Will he keep Kaysa, let King go & recruit another DH or will he keep both or will he let both go & recruit 2 new DH's? Will he go for FG experience etc? Only time will tell.

  • Dont worry, the unicorns tell me Kane Evans will come good and his poor form was due to injury.

    • Hi Snake, with what I saw in the earlier part of the season. he looked like a big bloke without a ticker. He has had no impact in FG this year so I don't see the cause for optimism for a miraculous turnaround in 2019.

U would think that if the turnaround has occurred in Wenty then BA would have utilised him in FG during the recent 2018 games.

  • He will keep mahoney and smith
  • We’re just screaming for two decent front rowers who can bend the line, get an offload away, and some quick play the balls. We had enough possession and field position to score a bunch of tries. And at that point we were playing really well. But every attacking play was off the back of a slow play the ball and subsequently a set defence. So much happens in RL off the back of momentum and ruck speed. We simply have none.

It’s the missing ingredient and it all starts with our middle forwards. It’s not all we’re missing but it’s the most obvious and most critical.

    • Mutt spot on the insistence of setup plays and slow play the balls is stunting the attack a lot.

Also our halves need to run more and dig into the line with support runners.

Moses doesn't do it enough, when he runs you can see the alarm bells sounding in the defensive line but he nie on very rarely does it.

Also like to see more scoots out of dummy half.

Good thing last night is the attacking structure allowed Hayne and Gutho to roam which is a positive but they gotta find a role for French I still see he's under used in this attacking structure.
