PENRITH have dumped club captain Matt Moylan and backline stars Peta Hiku and Waqa Blake to reserve grade for breaching breaching the club’s alcohol policy.
The Panthers will take on South Sydney on Friday night without the big name trio, who will instead line up for the club’s reserve grade side against Newcastle on Saturday.
While the incident is considered relatively minor, the club is understood to be particularly disappointed in skipper Moylan for breaking curfew during last weekend’s trip to Melbourne following a 28-6 loss to the Storm.
Coach Anthony Griffin has come down hard previously on matters of discipline since arriving at the club at the end of 2015, dumping star utility Tyrone Peachey last season after he arrived late to a recovery session.
