Parramatta club news. Moses/Raiders forward

SHOOSHWHICH young Canberra Raiders forward was spotted in the company of Eels coach Brad Arthur last week with a view to joining Parramatta next season?EELS TO OFFLOAD MOSESWE keep hearing Parramatta are shopping around half Mitchell Moses after a decision was made that either Corey Norman or the former Wests Tigers star has to go.The Eels know Moses will attract more interest from rival clubs, which means it will be easier to offload him without a huge burden on their salary cap. Norman is on nearly $900,000 next year and would struggle to find a club to pay even half of that.

  • Yea keep Dopey Norman that would be right

  • Liam Knight!
  • I’m happy with that

  • I wonder who the forward is?.

I think Norman is a better player than Moses BUT he hasn't put the effort in or been as focused as he should be, if he gets his act together he is far better than Moses. I'm at the point i don't really care which one goes as long as one does.

  • Norman on a back ended 900k deal for next year after Brad stated when he came he wouldnt be doing that any more.

Brilliant stuff, especially on norman, what a joke, great planning..

    • Arthur doesn't negotiate the contracts. He's just the coach.

      • Just like Des Hasler.

      •  I find it really funny how when the Eels had Peter Nolan as a recruitment manager and certain members of this site knew I was regularly in contact and a fan of Mr Nolan, these members would constantly bag him in regards to the signing of established 1st graders. Whenever I defended Mr Nolan by stated the fact that his role was mainly spotting and negotiating deals with junior players and getting them into the Eels development systems, I was constantly told that Mr Nolan was totally in charge of all negotiations and signings. Most of these same members of this site now say that the coach has these responsibilities and whenever a player isn't performing as well as expected it is the coaches fault for signing these players. However, I recall Mr Nolan being 1 of the reasons Corey Norman originally signed with the Eels for 3 years starting in 2014. I think that 3 year deal was worth around $400,000 per year. Mr Nolan was at the Broncos with Norman before the move to Parra. When you think about it, our signing of young stars has slowed greatly since Mr Nolan has moved on.

Maybe the members that constantly bagged Mr Nolan whilst he was at Parra can tell us all how Mr Nolan and his junior recruitment has been going since his move back to the Broncos? I am constantly hearing how the Broncos now have the best young forwards and they continue finding and signing plenty of the best up and comers around. Maybe some of these young stars would have been at Parra if we didn't lose Mr Nolan.

        • People just want a scapegoat. They don't like the idea of an organisational process operating within a competitive environment where other clubs hold all the advantages. They want someone to blame.

Everything we're trying to do the other clubs are also doing, and some of them have much better resources. Having a large junior base and a lot of fans is worth fuck all. Your local juniors don't even have to move house to sign with another Sydney club, and the huge fanbase just makes it more attractive for the media to generate destabilising stories to sell.

        • Just out of curiosity cause I really don’t know , who in the current squad of regular graders did Nolan scout ?

"I agree HKF. Cause going into 2025, you need to sack him or extend him. It is not good to have a coach off contract going into a year, especially with so many players off-contract. They would want to know who the coach will be before signing. Issue…"
