Our coaching staff. Who are they?

I looked online and could not find an up to date list of coaching staff for the Eels even on our website. I wanted to compare how many staff and who they are. • The Storm have the best set up in the comp bar none while ours is an absolute shambles and an embarrassment, just like the team.

  • Yeah but the storm like a few other nrl clubs are bank rolled ie storm being in Melbourne is clear advantage hence the extra funding etc

    • What extra funding??? Why is it a clear advantage????  They aren't even propped up by a leagues club.

Just more excuses on why we are a joke of club.

      • They have multi-millionaire owners with one of them being on the Fin Review Rich List and they've only owned the club since 2013 when News Corp sold the team.

  • Eels apparently are a 1 man band.

  • They have huge numbers in the background according to that list, 30 plus 5 medical staff, of the latter there are 2 away game doctors.  Yet, they, like all clubs have to have 30 NRL contracted players by June, I trust I am right on that.  That affectively means there is one person in the background for every NRL player in the required squad.

I can remember team photo's of the eels a few years back that was near the same, as there were more suited people in the photo, than there was players and the coaches it certainly resembled in part what we see in this storm list.

I would imagine almost every club has pretty well the same setup, maybe not the same numbers though, and for me it makes one wonder about the calls for the NRL and clubs to tighten their finances, and bringing control into players payments.

While I see the absolute need in these fields as winning is the only thing that all are interested in but, when I hear of clubs and the NRL hierarchy calling for financial restraint for clubs and don't seem to apply the same rules to themselves, as many general mug supporters like myself wonder, when they also call for reductions in Sydney teams and game expansion, where in heck is the money coming from for all of this?

That wage bill for the Storm must be huge, and in a one team town its a bit easier to get money even with the strength of the AFL and what they get.  My last Eels Annual report for year 2010 is packed away, and it had the finances and people involved listed in it, but nothing like is seen above.

All that staff may have provided the Storm with advantages but, I actually wonder how many of them are really duplicating positions at the club.  Concerns about clubs spending I see as real and in the last few years quite a few have said how tight things are and the eels are in some troubles as well. but thanks to the leagues club being a very sound and viable support it will get better, but I see potential financial problems for the NRL in the future, both clubs and HO

    • No wonder, Beenny is spewing in the media today.  Gotta love it though.

  • Wow that’s a long list!  Isn’t this amount capped by the NRL as well these days! Anyway, just hope that our club have afforded coach and long suffering fans similar. My hunch is not so.
