Oregan Kaufusi - Any good ?

Boys I did hear some decent things about this kid. Apparently he is a front rower of some talent.  He was recently promoted to the Instrust Cup and straight to the Wenty Bench already and played 50 minutes on weekend. They say he is a real prospect. Only 18 I believe.

Scrapping the barrel and trying to look for the silver lining but anyone have anything to say about him. Decent size kid with leg speed and can actually pass the ball.  Just hope not another LOKO boom type of player. Great in the juniors and failed to live up to the hype in the big boys.

  • I missed that match Squiz. He does seem to go ok from memory from 2017.

  • BA will give him the call up once he turns 30.

  • We do have a lot of young kids who have the potential to make it in the Nrl. Kaufusi, Brown, Salmon, Stone, Schneider, Leleisiuao, Aukaolau, Mahoney & Parry. Obviously not all of them will make it but if we can grow just a couple in the next 2 years then I will be happy. If the eels are serious sbout fixing their juniors then we can't let these guys go to a rival club. Would hate to see another Matterson, Twal, Fuimaono & Aloai situation again.

    • Trent while i agree with this concept it is hard to keep all; as we have bought players e.g. Salmon. Some player get offered decent coin over and above what we have offered. While i do not like seeing players leave it is also a free market and they can choose to move on as needed / required.

    • Schneider needs to stop thinking he's John Hopoate

      • John Hopoate. Please explain? The kid has ability and leadership qualities.

  • Talented kid, made plenty of metres in the 20s and was a big part of last year's push to the grand final for our NYC team. Don't know if he'll get a run in the NRL this season because of his age and also that he's not part of the Top 30.

  • Not sure but his brother Coriander goes alright
