I watched Fitzy, Burt and all the other ex-player, players in the most recent destabilizing efforts to the current executive and board at our great club.
I saw the two named above and all and any others not named play most of their careers for Parra.
Fitzy was an honest toiler who overcame personal health issues to play in the ARL and even represented Australia in a World Cup. He was a decidedly better administrator who was a skillful "White Anter" from the very beginning and a charismatic manipulator and control freak. This particular skill-set enabled our club to break free from the previous regime of control freaks who spent copious amounts of money trying to buy a premiership since 1947.
Fitzy became the new Parramatta club secretary (head honcho title at the time) and delivered us with our 80"s glory era. We are forever grateful. Fitzy became an obnoxious would be Emporer.
Brett was the most naturally gifted footballer I have ever seen. The best we had in a champion team. He was so good that the higher the level of competition the more he rose to the occassion, even unseating the King, Wally Lewis in the national team on the 1982 Kangaroo tour. Burt was publicly very humble. Unfortunately he has exercised his right to whinge and moan about areas of management, not in his skill-set.
I have only ever heard of one fall greater than these two. You can read it yourself in Luke 10:18.
Jesus said "I saw Satan (the obstructor) fall like lightning from heaven"!
Sadly there is an even more sinister parrallel with Lucifer (Light bearer) the name and status satan held prior to his fall.
As the story (and the synergy) goes, Lucifer was the most glorious, angelic being in heaven until his wicked self centered aspirations were discovered by the ONE who gave him his opportunity to shine.
Who gave you two gentlemen your opportunity to shine? Wasn't it the Parramatta club.
Why not allow the current board, senior administrators, coach and players have their shot giving light to a new generation of fans and allow us died in the wool "old fans" remember you for who you were.

I think this is my sign to stop drinking for now.
Thanks North Parra,
The dialogue was getting bogged down.
Just thought I'd mix it up a bit.
You thought wrong.
My mistake, won't make that one again!
