I just heard the most outrageous and idiotic selection for Hayne. Play him off the bench. That's right. On the NRL website it says to play Hayne off the bench and use him as a utility. He's no Gidley and can't play hooker and struggles at 5/8. The genius who came up with this suggestion is the Stats Insider on the NRL website. I think he may need to be admitted to a mental health clinic to determine if his brain's alright. He also said to start Gallen and Tamou in the front row. I wouldn't be inclined to start a debuting front-rower in Origin. Mannah played his first Origin off the bench and I think that's where Tamou needs to start. I'd also prefer to start Gallen at lock as it gives the team more size across the park. You can still use him as a prop but it means you have an extra prop in the team which can benifit the Blues as QLD will have to contend with a more fresh forward pack as you'd only have to use 1 prop off the interchange at a time because you can shift Gallen to lock later on. My team:
1. Hayne (Is a big game player and playing with 2 good and consistent halves will benefit him.)
2. B. Morris (Has experience on the wing having played there for the majority of his career.)
3. Jennings (Can terrorise a defence with his speed and agility.)
4. Lawrence (A very powerful and consistent centre who can cause his opposite headaches.)
5. Uate (The hardest running back in the game who will provide good go forward at the start of sets.)
6. Mullen (Has SOO experience and is more mature than last time. Has excellent kicking game and is very consistent.)
7. Pearce (Very consistent halfback who has SOO experience. He and Mullen will compliment Hayne.)
8. Mannah (Will play his heart out all night and continue going when others can't.)
9. Ennis (Been to Origin before and knows how to win. May give away penalties but his goalkicking is needed.)
10. Galloway (The ever dependable prop who will punch up the middle all night.)
11. Lewis (Very skillfull backrower who can deputise in the halves or backline if needed.)
12. Williams (The big man will challenge the edge defence of QLD and will get the Blues going forward.)
13. Gallen (c) (The leader of the team. Will play the full match and is an inspirational player.)
14. Hinchcliffe (Understudy to Cam Smith in Melbourne. Can play in the backrow and is smarter than people think.)
15. Tamou (1 half of the dynamic Cowboys duo who will put the fear of God into the QLDers when they get the ball.)
16. Sims (The other half. Provides powerful go forward and is terrifying in defence. Both he and Tamou carry mongrel.)
17. Bird (Can deputise as a ball-player and has the Origin mentality. Is tough and uncompromising.)
18. G.Stewart (A very crafty player who can play like a second 5/8. May be needed if an injury occurs to either Bird or Lewis.)
wouldnt pick hyne he looks to injured to play at tht level
I agree with you in some way yet Galloway is the worst front rower going arround for NSW atm he has no punch up the middle and Trex off the bench with T sims would be a massive boost for NSW both coming off the bench.... if i had to change my side it would be Mannah strating and Tamou on the bench... and Jennings he makes deffence scared but his defence is shocking inglis would run over him all night, i would pefer 2 have J morris who is just as quick but is bigger stronger and can score just as many tires as Jennings
Stewart is only just back from injury as is Dugan. The 3 fullbacks for NSW are all making comebacks from injury. Hayne's strapping is now minimal and he looks to be moving more freely.
