Exactly. How do these numpties get these gigs?
Latrell Mitchell is better.
Congrats Twal and Fuimaono, two of the NYC's most consistent players and will always put up big numbers in a match no matter the circumstances. Hopefully they can continue the winning tradition of the NSW Under 20's who haven't lost a game since its inception.
Bevan is 19 and Mitchell is 18. Age has nothing to do with it. Mitchell has had more time to develop as he was a part of the Centurions Harold Matthews side and was a part of the Roosters' SG Ball side last year whereas Bevan only had a handful of district rep games last year due to injury and then only this season in the NYC.
Mitchell was also a part of the Australian Schoolboys team last year where he scored something like 10 tries in 6 games. So he's definitely the best young fullback in that group.
Just found some stats on Alex Twal and they are quite remarkable.
Probably his commitment to us next monday
They introduced a selection threshold this year to avoid the embarrassment of having a multitude of star youngsters pull out due to NRL commitments again (Brooks, Johnston last year). If a player has 7 or more NRL caps they are deemed ineligible for the 20s Origin fixture. Tep is well beyond that figure so he is exempt from selection.
