HE manager of Wests Tigers five-eighth Mitchell Moses has complained to the NRL and the Players Association about his treatment at the Wests Tigers and overall welfare.
Moses was not supposed to play for the Wests Tigers against South Sydney on Friday night, which probably explains why he had such an embarrassing shocker. He missed seven tackles and didn’t run the football once.
At training last weekend, coach Ivan Cleary told him: “This will be your last session.”
That he would be free to join the Parramatta Eels.
Moses rang his manager Isaac Moses to tell him what was said but a few days later still nothing had happened.
So Isaac Moses, his manager, fired off an email to the Wests Tigers and copied in the Players Association and the NRL. It had, according to the player agent, become a welfare issue. The kid was mess. He didn’t know if he was coming or going.
We tried to speak to Cleary about this situation. He wouldn’t speak on the phone but exchanged a few texts.
Buzz: I need to speak to you about Mitchell Moses please.
Cleary: Sorry mate but no comment.
Buzz: Did you tell him last Saturday it was his last training session?
There was no reply.
Cleary, for all his results at the Panthers and Warriors, is not renowned for dealing with delicate issues and dramas.
At least at Penrith he had Gus Gould to step in and help. At the Wests Tigers there is no one.
Players’ union boss Ian Prendergast said he would speak with the Wests Tigers’ management this week to try to resolve the problems.

According to Triple M and Fox Sports' James Hooper, it's a case of a bit of mixed feeling from the coach.
"You can just see at the moment that Mitchell Moses looks to be a bit confused," Hoops said. Listen to the full report below.
"He looks like a player who’s got the weight of the world on his shoulders. I reckon Ivan Cleary will be frustrated that Moses is consistently asking for a release, and I’ve heard reports that he’s dragging his heels and feet around training a bit.
"On the flip side of this, I know last Saturday the Tigers had a training session and Ivan told Moses that this would be his last training session because he could was going to let him go to Parramatta after this session.
"Then on Monday he said ‘oh actually, you’re going to be here a bit longer, we haven’t made up our mind yet. So there is a lot of instability going on surrounding Mitchell Moses, so I think they’re going to let him go or the other option they might play is dropping him to reserve grade.

He's obviously very dictorial in his treatment of players. NRL needs to step in and get him released asap.
x2.
It's time to let Moses go.
Regardless, we will be just fine.
Muttman: None more confused than Cleary. He is one confused cooky. I said about two weeks ago that Moses should get the support of the West Tiger`s players union , get them on side and tell the West Tiger`s management that if they don`t give MM a release then West Tigers players will not turn up and play the next weekend. If he had done that he would be at Parramatta already. The TV industry has got the NRL on toast if they don`t provide all the games they are contracted to do. So the NRLwould ensure MM gets his release from the West Tigers. The Players Union boss Prendergast is unlikely to be of any help as his salary is paid by money given to the union by the NRL.
Ive a feeling he'll be here soon.
