Mitchell Moses a mistake?

In June last year I posted a blog with this title. I questioned his signature as I considered it a lot of money for what I considered a gamble, esp when we could've had Maloney (for less $$$). I said I wasn't convinced.

And I copped it.

Moses was the next Thurston or Lockyer, dumbest blog ever (Chief where are you?).

So who's convinced now?

  • Like any fan, you can handle the odd bad game from a big name player. His bad games are far too frequent, and his body language worse. Not happy.
  • Halves need momentum. Every half needs momentum.

Jesus would look awful behind this pack. Enough of this!

    • Moses should go alright against the Dragons......Parting the Red V ;)

  • I too absolutely rubbished the signing and then later in the year suggested I got it wrong. Now im at a point where I don't care if I was right or not or whether I was wrong or right when I suggested I originally got it wrong. What does it matter? We suck, Moses sucks and it is what it is. Depressing.

      • The thing is though that we know he's not shit. He showed in the 2nd Manly game and the Saints game that he is a talent. Getting him to play like that for at least 20 rounds per season is the tricky part.

Having said that, how long has Norman been here now and I still can't recall him playing great footy for more than 4-6 games in a row?

  • You were right mate, huge mistake, hes a cat.

  • It's got nothing to do with the players. There is bugger all between the players in the clubs... Brad Arthur gives them nothing. Arthur wouldnt know a game plan if it hit him over his stupid melon head!
You get a decent coach and suddenly see how good these players are!
    • My thoughts precisely.

Fixing the coaching department and they could even make Wenty competitive.

  • When we first signed him I was skeptical as I never rated him a good player at Wests. But then we won our next 11 of 13 games when he joined and I thought maybe I was wrong. He then had a decent World Cup and I thought this year he would do ok.

But the Mitchell Moses who has played this season is almost the opposite of 2017, it's like he is an imposter and the real Mitchell Moses was killed and buried somewhere.

"For sure, as mentioned, 800k & there's no way the Eels will look at him. 600-650k, is possibly a different story. As you mentioned with salary cap, those centres might've been 600k but that was decent coin also.
100% agree though that it all depends…"

"I think we need to find a winger not a centre. I just don't see how signing Lomax helps with our long term planning of the club. If Talagi does well at 5/8 we will want him to play centre when Moses is back or at a minimum play him at 14. However by…"
