In his first year as Wigan's coach Maguire won the 2010 Super League Grand Final. In his second year he won the 2011 Challenge Cup and was then signed by the Rabbitohs.
In his first year as an NRL head coach he took the Rabbitohs deep into the 2012 finals series. In 2013 the Rabbitohs finished the regular season in second place and in 2014 they won their first premiership in 43 years.
Maguire took a team of also rans that finished 10th before Maguire took over, then finished 3rd in his first season.
Took South Sydney to the finals in 5 out of 6 years at the Rabbitohs. Won a comp and two comps in England.
Lost their major player in 16, and Inglis is a major reason they are succeeding this season. Many teams need to rebuild after winning a comp and 2017 was South's rebuild year.
Won the 2014 comp with a few unknowns like Clarke, Auvaa in the centres, and the very young Luke Keary and Api Corisau and Adam Reynolds all extremely young kids virtually
Developed many fine NRL players like Cook, Crighton, Reynolds, Luke Keary, Dylan Walker, Api Corisau.
Maguire is a proven coach who Parramatta should be looking at for 2019 now. If we do decide to cut BA, Maguire should take over recruitment and retention asap. Gurr should sign him for 2.5 years.
Im sorry but Parramatta are now in need for a major overhaul - and many on other supporter sites are saying the same - yes even Sixtiesboy and LU.
Maguire is the best possible option atm. Parramatta cannot waste another year.....

It’s my turn next week to write a “We need a new coach” blog...this week I’ll be focusing on why we need to get rid of BA and have a major overhaul so stay tune, children for another exciting blog on We Need A New Coach!
Bernie Gurr has repeatedly stayed that BA will see his contract out.
When asked on twitter yesterday, Phil Gould stated that he has been reliably informed that BA will see his contract out.
I reckon we start planning for who will be the coach in 2020 because like it or not - BA is here to stay.
If BA is here next year Gurr and Max are derelict in their duty for the club.
The money they think they will save by keeping the Bush Bum here will cause us to Lose shitloads more in other areas.
