Melbourne Storm - can we beat them!?

Just watching Storm v Rabbits. As much as the rabbits D is all over the show, you got to give it to the storm. There set plays are deadly, their ability to lay around in tackles and never get penalised is second to none. They have mastered the art of making the Refs not be able to see a forward pass or a hand on the ball in the tackle. The refs are so scared Cameron Smith will scold them if they miss a poor play the ball that there defence line can be 2 or so meters inside the ten and they are invisible to the Refs. I could go on and on.I just can't see how anyone can beat them at full strength. The only way would be to take out Smith and Slater in the first 10 minutes. Steel shoulder pads for Matagi!!!

  • Yes we can

  • Look who the referee is Mr. ( I get a brown paper bag every game) Perenara! It's already set up mate for the Storm to be Premiership holders in 2017! If you didn't know that by now you never will. It will be a Broncos vs Storm Grand Final as the NRL want teams to be successful in Melbourne and the Broncos haven't won for a number of years and as a gesture to Mr. Bennett its all set up.
  • Yes we can and we will.
  • I only caught the back end but Souths look a bit ravaged by injury which is good for us next week. Why did Reynolds come off? And will burgess miss the game from that headslam ?
  • It must have been someone else Brett as I never said the NRL wanted the Eels to win 3 in a row. I think you have me confused with somebody else. When the Eels won in 1981,82 & 83 the Rugby League wasn't corrupted as it is today! It's changed over the past 20 years or so but more so in the past 10 and it's getting worse.
  • Penalty try Peranara?? I dont know.. was close
    • Who received the penalty try, Vlozy? Let me guess the Storm? Or maybe not as a gesture to not to suspect him as a cheating referee he may have given the Bunnies one as an early Easter present.
  • No chance Melbourne will put 30 on us.

    • Agree and well summed up.  No doubt we will battle to get a slight win against the Rabbits if we follow our usual pattern.

    • DECIDED - that is the difference Mack. We decided not to defend, but when it matters our defence has been solid. In fact the best defensive team in the last 10 rounds arent we?
