Dragons signing Hayne was relying on Mann going to Knights so his salary was going towards the $500k for hayne.

That's how I had my round 1 team too.
The only way Saints would take Norman this season would be if Eels were still going to pay a big chunk of his salary. So better to hang onto him for his last year & play him at fullback.
Saints are also after an outside back so maybe offering Mennings would be better. Given the amount of tries he let in last season I'd be happy to pay a chunk of his salary & get rid of him.
