Anyone have an opinion of him ?

let's face it - he is not currently even playing first grade ( not exactly the marquee signing we are after )

and this is not the area we need to make signings in

does anyone at the club realise we might need a backorders or two????????

  He is stuck behind Cooper Cronk (duh) and Garreth Widdop (who was a slater clone in NYC).
  
  Kelly led the storm NYC to a grand final win at halfback in 2009
  
  He could easily replace Roberts at 6 or even Sandow if Hayne moves into 6 and Hoppa comes.

Why another half? we already have plenty of juniors that can fill that position right now.. But I would say this guy is really good but I would love to see how Kearney uses him. We need backs tho! come on Kearney...

  he will be 5/8
  
  is ready for first grade and was the storms first choice 5/8 ahead of widdop at beginning of last year but got injured
  
  widdop got the jump on him when he was out for 12 weeks and never looked back
  
  he is the steadying influence type half to counteract sandow
  
  I would say that Roberts will be our 14 next year

Have very high opinion of him, would of been playing 1sts with storm if he wasn't injured that was when widdop got the chance at the 6 jersey and made it his own

I'd take Ned Kelly or even Kelly Rowland right now as 6.

Is Luke Kelly the marquee signing - kudos Nolan and SK, kudos.

If Kelly signs, it's either for back-up in the halves - or, it means that next year, Ben Roberts will have a fight on his hand to retain his five-eighth jersey.

Either way, the kid is talented, so it's a worthwhile move, given that he won't cost a lot of money to bring to the club.

I am just taking the p1ss really, I do not mind the move - the kid will have a point to prove and will be a starter probably?

I wonder if we can get him mid season? What does this say to Mullaney though (6 for Wenty)? Or Saege (7 for NYC)?
