Jahrome Hughes.

Just wondering everyone's thoughts on this guy.

If you wanted a running 5/8 he'd be a guy I'd have a look at.

Mind you I'm biased as I played rugby with his old man here in NZ.

  • I really dont like his first name, his parents must think they are from the Bronx and idolise tupac FFS.

Dont need any more of these baseball hat wearing, basketball bouncing dopes at the club, thats a pass from me.

    • That's very gracious of you Snake. Have you got anything nice to say about this young fella's footy skills? He looked OK to me on the weekend.

Coryn, does the Hughes families of NZ just have a thing about your very British surname or is there a desire to get attention for the children the reason for the colourful Christian names mate?

      • I'll just help you get that hook out champ.

      • Don't really know i was adopted given to an Aunty who couldn't have kids.

Im Maori by birth and adoption is called whangi and your passed to the above who couldn't have the mentioned and legally adopted and that's how I got my last name.

Back to Jahrome he didn't show too much as a youngster but his oldman back in the day could have been a AB and in the early 80s he was magic.Thing was with him when they picked all these teams he was too busy surfing lol.

Another guy whose in the NRL right now whose killing it is Joseph Tapine I also played League and Rugby with his oldman back in the day through college and club he was a hard nut too.

    • Geez no not with a name like that, it really borderlines of reverse racistism, but he doesn’t have the talent anyway

    • I thought we had two 1/2 backs? Neither of them want to be second reciever.

  • The kid from Penrith will have to play behind cleary. If cleary stays. Ran for 238 m from half back.
  • Has skill but is not what we need. We need a half that controls the team and stays in the game for the whole 80 minutes and grabs the game by the scruff of the neck so to speak when in the balance or are trailing. We already have a running 5/8 in Norman as that is his style not controlling and he switches on and out too often.

"Not a bad claim, only thing i say is Norths only made one more GF after their 1922 title. In 77 years they made 1 GF. No minor premierships either. Souths were in same boat. 1971 was last premiership before 2014. In that time of 43 years they made…"
