The media, DT, and Fox Sports are in a frenzy of excitement now that Shane Flanagan may be on his way to suspension again! It seems he may have been involved in coaching matters when he was suspended for 12 months over the supplement saga. A condition of his suspension was that he would have nothing to do with the club, coaching etc for 12 months. E-mail evidence found is that he did have discussions on coaching matters. Cronulla CEO has admitted such E-mail evidence exists but nothing more than that. Flanagan says he never initiated those E-mails. FOX sports "experts" suggest that Flanagan will not be coaching in 2018 if it is confirmed that he was involved in coaching discussions. Hooper in the DT is gushing over the prospects that Flanagan is gone. For myself, while this is in the recent past, it is in the past, and ought to be dropped. Some Eels fans will say we got the full monty and so should Cronulla and Flanagan. It does the Eels no good at all if the NRL go for Flanagan and Cronulla so let it drop. But there may be salary cap matters also. That is a different matter and should be treated as other clubs have been treated. I wonder if that will happen now that Morrison, the PM, and Cronulla supporter, might influence the great NRL CEO Greenberg! This salary cap matter will be completed in January it is alleged.
