Those Eels fans who loathe Jarryd are the kind of people that won't acknowledge someone after all the good they do for them but will crucify them on a minor fault.

Any parra fan who doesn't get physically sick just at the thought of Jarryd being at a rival club Cleary have no loyalty or passion towards footy in general.

Haynes downfalls are only that he'll speak or post things without much thought of how others portray him.

His main problem is a lack of education and to an extent poor social skills when it comes to associating.

he's probably the only person who can mess around yet be forgiven without justification.

He is the WOW WOW!

      • Why is our club acting like as if third party deals are illegal? Did Greenberg tell our club (as punishment for 2016 cap scandal) that we are banned from using TPA's for a few years but our club has kept it secret in fear of losing fans/members?

Shouldn't Hayne's manager be the one finding extra money through TPA's? Or is our club crapping itself at the mention of TPA's and that's why he hasn't been re-signed?

        Either way, you're dead-set, abso-farking-lutely useless Parra.

        • Umm, they did take 12 points of us in 2016 and fined the club $1m, so yeah, I would say the club is shit scared of being caught organising TPA's again, and rightly so.

  • Well spoken Raid. Unfortunately it appears most of the fans are willing to welcome Jarryd back for another year, but they are not having to account for the $'s Jarryd and his greedy manager reckon he is worth apparently $700K. That's a debate that has it's poles very far apart, which seems to be the main sticking point in the current negotiations.

Regardless of what anybody other than BA and to a lesser extent Bernie and the board think. BA knows what Jarryd is worth to his team and squad and that appears to be about the same as he was paid this year. $500K .

If Jarryd wants to go through the crap he was miss led to do prior to signing with the Titans? Then he should shoot himself in the foot and do it again. If he wants to play for Parra then he needs to again swallow his pride, cop whatever he is offered and go out and play 20 games in NRL 2019 like he did for about 7 games in 2018 on a one year contract. Then he ask ask for whatever he wants after that and I believe he will get $800K plus for 2020! Your call Jarryd.

    • Rowdy, agree with you, the only aspect maybe is that few players who resign with a club do not get an upgrade in there money.  He sacrificed a lot of money by coming here this year, so he should be entitled to a rise, and for me if the sums are he wants $700, then a mid range compromise could be looked at $600K.

My thinking that the sticking point is also the aspect that there is still another outside signing to come and the cash is there for whoever that is, and leaves too little in the bank for Hayne. The aspect that he wants 2 years is also a possible sticking point unless its an option in the clubs favour based on his performances this year.

  • Our club can't even re-sign Jarryd Hayne. You are abso-farking-lutely useless Parra.

  • I’d say that certain staff don’t want Hayne and his non resigning has nothing to do with cap space.

They saw what value for money they got this season, which was about 100k per game. He was on 500k for the year and played five decent games.

The quicker this bloke is shafting some bloke in Nantucket the better.

    • He was played out of position for most of the year. It was no coincidence he got far better when shifted to the wing / fullback
      • So what excuse do you have for him in the team whilst the team collected all those spoons?

If these players at up to 600k are classy & not expensive, it's a pretty small window reliant on what's available?
Which brings us back to the development angle, and that…"

"For sure, as mentioned, 800k & there's no way the Eels will look at him. 600-650k, is possibly a different story. As you mentioned with salary cap, those centres might've been 600k but that was decent coin also.
100% agree though that it all depends…"
