A few weeks back I posted a blog “ Tactics for the Storm and Finals Run”. I really think Parramatta should have thrown that game.
The NRL were never going to let them win that game. Not on their poster boys record breaking night. Sure enough the Refs got a bad case of Cameron Smitharhinitus which affects their ability to see forward passes, offside plays and delaying tactics. Mitchel should have got a sore toe, Kenny bad cramps etc. Send the Wenty team down there.
The Eels went there to win. They played their hearts out. They should have won that game. They played it like it was their grand final and left nothing in the tank. And lost, of course. Unfairly. Even Blind Freddy could see that. That poor display wrecked our season.
Last night they played like a team frustrated, disappointed and tired. Like what’s the point of trying when the refs are going to shaft you anyway? We should be having a week off… Instead they were slogging it out against a team on a buzz playing underdog pressure free football. Alvaro went down and suddenly they had stuff all forwards facing a big forward pack lead by the NRL’s best forward.
And that was the end of that.
All up a good season that could have been a lot better. But we can be proud of what they did without a single Rep player!

Never the case!!! this is parramatta.
I agree Mac.
For starters pick the best side available, put it all out there and don't worry about the 2nd chance.
I had a feeling we would go out in straight sets and here we are - gone and waiting for 2018.
