It's worth noting that before Will Hopoate went away on his mission he was easily the most promising young fullback in the game.
While he made a name for himself playing wing for NSW, his best games for Manly was as a fullback.
In the handful of games he played at fullback I think he won man of the match in almost half of those matches.
For me, I don't want to go scouting for a fullback. We've got potentially one of the best in the game at our club already.
It's where he played all of his junior football and I think with a proper pre-season to get his pace back, Hopoate can do a splendid job for us as custodian.

Obviously this free's up massive cash.
I'm with you. Hopoate to fullback.
I really think that we need a better five eigth. That is the position I would be throwing money at.
But who is available?
I like Cherry Evans but I don't think we should get rid of Sandow.
Could we get Cherry Evans and shift Sandow to fullback?
For 2016 this makes Foran a very real possibility.
Not cherry evans he is a dud. Foran or maybe Hodkinson.
Ben Hunt would be great but I'm pretty sure he is contracted. Maybe Kurtley Beale is the likely fit.
And what about Folau. Can we chase him hard now as a marquee player.
I'm so confused.
Hoffman could be a handy replacement, i liked him at FB, and i like Hoppa at centre. He doesnt seem to have the speed and agility as before his vacation. Holy crap i cant believe we have to talk about this.
I'm hesitant on this idea. Brisbane fans will tell you honestly that Hoffman's best position is winger - he simply lacks the passing game required of a modern fullback.
If Hoppa can get the speed and fitness up I would prefer that option. Hell, I'm open to rolling the dice on Nathan Davis if he has a big off-season (a considerable large if, mind you).
What are the legalities of front loading some extensions this year to help with more cash for 2016?
