If this year has shown us anything you need good players in every position. At the moment, even with 3 hookers on the roster, our depth in that position has been sorely tested. IDG out with concussion and in reality, as the symptoms have persisted for this long, his future health should not be compromised and he should be paid out. Also Kaysa will probably be out for several weeks (or longer), on first look he appeared to break his ankle. Also King didn't play last week, and probably doubtful this week, with a sternum injury.
As IDG likely to go we will need a good hooker, preferably this year but definitely for next year. Matt Parcell (formerly Manly) is playing in Super League and from all reports playing well. Maybe we should target him and see if he wants to come home. Thoughts?

i'm pretty sure it will be peatsy, i see no other reason why we have stashed so much money away
Well lets hope he doesnt spend most of the year on the sidelines injured, then we will be back to square 1 with a lot less money, they guys a very high danger signing.
and how do you know this
My concerns with Peats is the circumstances under which he left us would leave a sour taste. And how many games did he actually play for us, something like 60% availability wasn't it? Massive injury concerns. Throw the kitchen sink at Josh Reynolds, only need him to stop tripping people.
Doing scans on the ankle.
Could be a simple twist all the way to syndesmosis or a break or ligament damage.
Can't confirm anything until they get results form the scans.
I love Peats but I cant see past his injuries and the number of games he misses each season.
Jeff Robson or Cody Nelson will be hooker for this weekends game. King is out as well so we have no choice. Last time Cody played at hooker he was awesome. Chalked up like 40 something tackles. He might be a good option until Kaysa is back. I'm actually not concerned in the short term because i think we can cover it. Long term hooker is the real question?
I would LOVE to see Peats back but again he is so injury prone. You would have to go out there and purchase a back-up just to cover for him. Cameron King appears to be a bit injury prone as well.
