  • Who would know? What are our other options?

I was really impressed with Ben Roberts on Saturday. He played well and was very solid on the fringe with his defense.

It would be interesting to know how all the pieces fit together when we have Hoppa and Folau.

    • roberts is a good player but is not consistent 1 day he's good n 10 he's not i reckon get rid of him  n sign sum1 bettr?

  • I reckon Stuart will keep Hayne at fullback because he gets great things from him when he plays origin. Even when Hayne plays origin on the wing, Stuart still gets the best from him.. he runs inside, his hungry for the ball.

  • No he is a fullback! With Luke Kelly and Sandow in the halves performing under Stuart, We need Hayne at the back to add more spark, trust me if Stuart get these 3 going, we will have our own "big three"
  • Im impressed with kellys defence and his attack is stable similar to robson. I hope he does'nt. Its been tried and does not work
  • I don't buy this argument.

You take someone who has never been trained to play in a position, arguable the most demanding position on the field, and throw him there with a bunch of players he's never played with, AT REP LEVEL, and expect him to fire?

Bloody THURSTON, who has played in the halves all his life, has stumbled making the switch from 7 to 6.  He's not only played in the halves from day dot, but he had 6-9 months of preparation before making the switch.  Hayne's repeatedly just been tossed into the halves for the odd game.

I don't, in any way, consider the 'Hayne in the Halves' experiment done, and I won't until he's had a full off-season with a halves coach, and a good half a year of first grade in the position.

    • Well said Tom!!

  • Stuart has said Hayne plays like 5/8. He was desperate for him to make it as a 6 at origin level because we lack halves. At club level though it's a different story.

He will either move him or change his style to a more traditional fullback role.
  • If Hayne goes to 6 I think under Stuart he will kill it especially with training and a good off season there.....he is a freak ....look at his game on Sat night. Hasn't played for weeks and just nails it. Where was the rep player Carney? I forgot he was even on the field!
    • u got a point chris i reckon put hayne at no6 i think he will blitz dat position n for carney for nsw was absolutly non-existent n for mitchell pearce he was even shittr dan carny. ''Hasta ''lavista''
