Hayne could face NRL Sanctions

So the headlines say.  The following is as per usual a DT article and not found anywhere else, and unless you are a digital subscriber you get no look in.

Hayne could face NRL sanctions over rape claims

Latest SUPERSTAR Jarryd Hayne could find his triumphant Parramatta return derailed because of the rape allegation made in a civil case following his time playing NFL in the US.

So, now it seems the NRL and so many others are prepared to invade the personal life of players that have allegations against them when not involved in the game.

I have no doubt this is a beat up article against JH and the eels overall. and until the matter is resolved in the U.S then they should have no rights to impinge in this area especially when the original case was not proceeded with owing to lack of evidence.

I personally do not believe the NRL has a right to sanction him or any player for a misnomer committed when not involved in the game. The witch hunt that has gone against JH is petty to say the least and one wonders if this sort of thing continues what hope do other players who were found guilty of crimes, and paid for it in gaol time have of playing in the NRL ever.

Consider the likes of our own Manu Ma'u, Ken Edwards, also players like Packer who was able to get a sign on with the Saints and now Wests, all have pretty well turned their lives around by being allowed to play in the NRL. Where would they have been if the NRL said no because they committed crimes?

Lets also not forget the hounding of Semi Radradra with his case, which was eventually tossed out, and thing is had that not happened then he would likely not have been lost to NRL for any time at all.

Until guilt is found, everyone is innocent of any crime real, perceived or conceived.

  • But it's parra ..... if he was still at GC they would t care

    • True Carlo and therein is the pathetic vindictive attitude that the NRL are taking, that is if its not just another DT beat up, or maybe its something that the two may have worked on together, and I say as there is nothing to say that is the case, but its under one of their secret story restrictions.

Would love to see the article pasted here to be able to be completely able to see what is said.

  • If Jarryd Hayne is sanctioned by the NRL due to these ridiculous Civil Court allegations made by the infamous mystery Ms. V after the NRL have already stated he’ll be alllowed to train and play in 2018 then there should be a huge protest and outcry from ALL Eels supporters and Rugby League fans in general. It will be an absolute disgrace if Hayne is sanctioned and totally unfair and unjust. He hasn’t already been proven ‘innocen’ by the District Attorney in the USA of any Criminal Accusations.

    • Agree total TA.

Thing to me is that there is a fair bit of things coming out regarding the night club having a bit of a history with other NFL players being accused after visiting the place, as well as others.  The only thing that JH is guilty of is being a fool in going there, little doubt it has a reputation and somewhere I would be loathe to go to.

  • Hayne hasn’t always made the correct choices but I think we are all guilty of that, however to be sanctioned by the NRL for being in the wrong place at the wrong time when he wasnt even playing in the NRL is a disgrace.

    • Absolutely!  I have many regrets in my life but even allowing for those, there are places I never went in to, and some I got out of quick.  The worst thing with it is that the NRL, again if this unseen article is correct in its headline grabbing bit, then they are virtually guilty of invasion of privacy.

      • They don't send us to jail for being fools boys.....the day they start doing that there will be more in than out! and the inmates really would be running the asylum .......though I suspect that is happening already!

  • Hw should face sanctions he knew and kniws he is under contract to divulge anything like that to the brl at first instance he has broken contract by not informing them
    • Which part of the contract are you referring to OE, I have one in front of me and there is no such reference to breaking any such contractual aspects he has with the NRL or his club.

Maybe you are referring to bringing the game in to disrepute section and that has not happened as he is totally innocent of any criminal charges. Well in this case anyway.

You really are a dumb cluck  OE.....where did you get your licence to post on social media. Phil made me sign a contract.....how did you get through......maybe the refugee angle?

    • He wasn’t under contract to an NRL club at the time of the alleged incident OE. He is not obliged to tell the NRL anything.
