Have the Players lost faith in the NRL?

Can’t help but think the players are still sore from the loss to Melbourne. It 0-4 since then. If you had played your butt of, deserved a win, should have won but know that you were cheated by biased referees obviously engineering the result the NRL wanted for their poster boy Cameron Smith, it would be easy to get peeved at the whole show and start thinking what’s the point of even having a go.

BA needs to get them passed it, and make them realise that they need to at least try for their fans.

  • Ross: A good blog . Thought provoking. The players would be more at ease, I believe, if they knew that moves were afoot to remove Greenburg. Then something could be done to ensure that what happened at Melbourne would not happen again.

  • I actually had similar thoughts to this.. then I got angry at how close we came and now we look like we’ve gone backwards. It’s upsetting ever since BA had been here I feel like we have never gone backwards and only improving, I really felt like it was just a matter of what season we won but I had the feeling it was within 2-3 now I feel like we have got to wait a whole generation for our next hope.. I hope I’m wrong and we can bounce back, but it doesn’t look good early on
  • This can be our excuse for the first two games. Then after losing this week we can just blame Takairangi being out injured, or maybe it'll be the cool change. I mean after all we are only used to playing in hot conditions and won't be able to handle the cold.
  • if that is the case then every single one of them should have their contracts torn up tomorrow and be sued for every cent they earned in the game.

  • Talk about drawing a long bow!
  • Absurd.

These are grown men, professionals who are well paid well. Not 9 year old sooks.
  •  Dogmatic as usual. How many on here believe that the NRL is honestly run, that there is an even playing field? How many don`t? Do you believe that the Eels were not robbed inMelbourne? How many on here do believe that they were? Why then would it be unusual for the players to think the same? I thought Ross`s blog was good and thought provoking--not proven but worth a thought or two. As for my obsession with Greenberg what about yours with Grant? Recently departed and none, but you, sorry to see him go.You promised that he would be an excellent chairman based on his excellence as a businessman in Queensland! Frankly, for me I would rather Grant stayed and Greenberg went.
